  • What are the startup costs and what do they include?
    Currently, the range of startup investment is $95,800 to $162,500, which includes the $35,000 initial franchise fee. Other estimated costs include 3rd party professional advisory fees, insurance and 3 months of working capital.
  • How much space do I need for this business?  Do I need to lease a brick and mortar space?
    Your business can be home-based with the truck that stores everything needed for the Challenge Course, mobile and ready to go. We’ll review the space you want to use for your Child’s Play Challenge Courses business.
  • How long does it take to get the business started?
    You should be able to launch in as few as 3 to 4 months, depending on how quickly you complete pre-opening steps, acquire your vehicle and attend training.
  • Do I have to be an owner operator?
    Yes! If you are looking for a passive income, pass us by. We are looking for owner operators who will lead their team by example and work right alongside of their Course Masters. You will drive your awesome branded box truck, set up equipment and engage with your Course Crushers. And yes, at the end of the day you will be sweaty and dirty and tired, but you will also be exhilarated and proud as heck, knowing you made a difference in someone's life that day.   • Do I have to be like a "Ninja Warrior" to own this business?"
    Ninja warrior skills are not needed, but there is definitely a physicality to running your Child's Play Challenge Courses business. We are looking for folks who love working with children and adults and have a strong and motivational presence. And although we operate indoors, the great outdoors hosts the majority of our business and you will need the resilience to work in all sorts of weather conditions. Does this scare you? It shouldn't! We are having the time of our lives! Be ready to have fun and help others overcome their fears, step up to the challenge and do their best!
  • How many employees are needed to operate the business?
    We typically have between 2 and 4 gig-based Course Masters to assist at a party or event depending on the age of participants, nature of event and the day’s schedule.
  • Do I have to run this from a home office or can I rent a small office space?
    Whatever works for you. We don’t require rented office space and since the beginning, our Founders have run this from their home-base. If you want to lease a space, we will review what you’re considering to help guide you on keeping overhead as low as possible.
  • How much can the business make each year?
    That is up to you! We provide a detailed Financial Performance Representation, called an Item 19 in our Franchise Disclosure Document, which highlights affiliate performance and history. This can be a useful tool to help you evaluate the revenue potential for your Child’s Play Challenge Courses business. We encourage owners to step up to the Challenge and Crush our past performance!
  • Is this a seasonal business?
    No. In our Founder's state of NJ, our peak season is typically April through October and this will vary depending on your location. The good news is our Challenge Course can operate indoors or outdoors allowing for year-round Course Crushing. For those clients who prefer to be inside, we have had amazing events inside gyms, recreation centers, large classroom, ballrooms, and conference rooms, to name a few. Winter Course Crushing outdoors is also an option! Folks bundle up the same as with any other winter sport and we have had some of the best times in the colder months.
